 EDIE WEINSTEIN-MOSER
Organization: By Divine Design
Vagina Festival Supporter:
As a writer, therapist, minister and speaker, I see the impact of
violence against women. As a human being, my heart feels simultaneous
compassion toward those involved and a deep need to DO SOMETHING active
to erase it. I am a communicator by nature and vocation and know that I,
along with other committed women and men, can be powerful agents of
change. I saw The Vagina Monologues in Philadelphia years ago and rode
the roller coaster wave of emotion all throughout the play and then
spoke about it among my circles of friends. I had the pleasure of
interviewing Eve Ensler when The Good Body was performed here as well
and her dedication and passion was contagious. What we can talk about,
we can resolve. When we can finally say what hasn’t been said, out of
fear or discomfort, we are empowered and that in turn, empowers others.
About Edie Weinstein-Moser:
I’m a renaissance woman and a resource queen. My creative work involves
being a writer, journalist, speaker, creative guide, massage
practitioner, reiki master, interfaith minister, workshop facilitator,
editor and clown. I revel in connecting folks with each other and love
the concept of ‘overlapping soul circles’ of people who know each other,
or who soon will.
I have recently become certified as a Cuddle Party facilitator.
www.cuddleparty.com. Cuddle Party is a communication and boundary setting
workshop, cleverly disguised as a touch workshop. It allows people to
create safety and healing around nurturing, non-sexual touch in the
midst of other pajama-clad adults doing the same thing. I have witnessed
in the workshops I have both attended and facilitated: improved
communication, enhanced relationships, elevated self esteem, deepening
exploration of what it means to be fully human, permission to say yes
and no with equal freedom, healing through abuse issues, looking at body
issues.
In addition, I am co-facilitating a retreat:
Ready, Set, Goddess!
Spring Retreat 2007
We are encouraging women from all over the planet to celebrate the
beautiful, empowered beings that we are. As part of the core team that
is co-creating this wondrous interlude, I am excited, enthralled, and
eagerly anticipating sharing the time with you and your friends. Part of
my role is facilitating workshops...one on Sensual Storywriting :) and
another is being the "Resident Energy Healer" offering individual
sessions. REGISTRATIONS ARE FLOWING IN ~ ~ ~ BUT THERE IS STILL ROOM FOR
YOUR BEAUTIFUL FACE AND ENERGY!

VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN >
At least one out of every three women around the world has been beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime — with the abuser usually someone known to her. Violence against women and girls is a universal problem of epidemic proportions.

V-Day's 2007 theme Reclaiming Peace seeks to make the connection between the worldwide anti-violence work of V-Day activists with our collective desire for peace and an end to armed conflicts. "We are saying that if a government supports the use of force, weapons, violence as a method of control and dominance, this models and gives license to the same kind of behavior at home," stated V-Day Founder/Artistic Director Eve Ensler.
