On participating in Vagina Festival 2008:
Over the years, I've realized that feminism has become more than a calling, it's a very spiritual path for me, & no longer just a set of political motivations or self-evident truths, but a real & constant opportunity to change & grow, to do the real work on my self and society, to not just effect positive transformation, but to believe in and adhere to our progress.

About austin :
 Interests: noise, women, innovative poetry, music. Accomplishments: sonic collaborations with some of the top feminist avant-gardists in the country, including Carla Harryman, Rachel Levistky, Joanna Fuhrman, Christina Strong, and forthcoming with E. Tracy Grinnell and also Martha Oatis; also record the Belladonna* reading series. Family: Mom in heaven, Dad & sister are gold. Work: restaurant facilities manager for USHG. Dreams: appropriated equally from art history books & leftist pulp romance novels.
